As I did for the last post, this post is also intendeed for future me.
Even though I mentioned I would write advantages and disadvantages of English learning just only using textbooks, I changed my mind and decided to write about my friends.
I guess I have enough number of friends to enjoy my life, but compared with other people around me, I don't have many friends, like the ones, casual friends.
Today, I will talk about mainly my close friends.
Fortunately, I have two close friends in my university both of whom are from Kumamoto majoring in English. Also, I first got to know them when I was a freshman. When I made friends with them, I didn't expect they became my close friends.
One of them is a male student. I saw him first time in a classroom. Because this was the first day of school, I was nervous and felt alone for there were not my friends in the course. After I sailed hi to him,he gave me a surprisingly unfriendly response saying hi reluctantly. I thought he didn't talk to me.
After we gather at the classroom and hear some boring instructions about how to live university life, we moved on to another room. On our way to the next room, I tried talking to him, he gradually spoke more and more. While having a small talk with him, I found out he was shy.
We were already good friends before we left school that day. Before leaving, we promised each other that we would wear our gym suits the next day. However, we ended up not doing that. This story didn't end here. Maybe, the reason I still remember this is because this story still continued.
On the next day, I forgot the promise completely and dressed up as much fashionably as I could. When I got to university, I could see him.
He was in front of the entrance waiting for,I guess, me, wearing fashionable clothes. I was happy to see him not wearing his gym suit. Actually, I remembered the promise on my way to school on the train. After getting off the train, I wondered whether he still remembered the promise and came to school wearing his gym suit, and I hoped he wasn't wearing the suit.
After we gathered with some other friends, I struggled not to talk about the promise.
I asked him a lot of questions. However, eventually he mentioned gym suits.
I was upset saying sorry many times repeatedly. He seemed not to care about my breaking the promise very much. Because he was not wearing his gym suit either, I asked him why he didn't wear it. He said he would be embarrassed, opening up his bag. From the bag, what he picked up was his gym suit. He brought his gym suit. He broke the promise but at least tried to keep it. This made me sure he was the one I wanted to get along with.
Almost four years have passed since we got to know. We were sometimes in a bad mood because of my fault. He has never broken promise. I hang out with him more than any other friend of mine.
Now, we are going to live in different places in the near future. We can't see as much as we do once we start to work. I hope I can keep in touch with him forever.

Restart of my life
This post is intended for future me to remember what I thought while in my university life.
Now, I'm a fourth year student of KGU majoring in English. The reason why the title of this post begins with 'restart' is because today I decided to post a blog on a regular basis as I did in the past in a writing class as the main assignment when I was a sophomore.
Writing English is an interesting part of English learning, but I often face much difficulty improving my writing skill. In older to enjoy writing and get my writing better,I will post an article regularly.
Today, I want to write this year's summary. Because it is already 27th December today, the end of this year is approaching. I experienced many things this year.
In January, I had been learning English for an English exam since Novmber in 2012 ,which is known for one of the highest level of English exams in Japan.
At that time, I just tried to concentrate on improving English. This experience changed my idea about English learning.
My 'real' English learning started when I was 17, sophomore in high school even though usually Japanese people start to study English when they join junior high school. Just in case, I put an emphasis on the time when my English learning started so that I can explain my experience easily.
Once I started to learn English, there were many problems that I didn't understand smoothly. However, I really enjoyed learning English. While reading a book, I listened to my favorite music. When I tried to improve my speaking and listening, I watched movies like Forrst Gump, UP and so on.
After some time, one of my teachers talked about an English exam,TOEIC that is the most common English exam in Japan, taken by over 1 million people a year.
Also he taught me how to study English for the exam. His advice changed my English learning style. From the next day after I got advice from the teacher,
I bought some textbooks and use only them to improve my English. This style of English learning had lasted for 6 years until I found out my first learning style is best.
In the next post, I will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of English learning only using textbooks showing my experience.
